This is an autobiography of the author and at the same time, provides historical details of the Lakota people, The Illustrations by Martin Red Bear provide pictorial motifs for major events or a `winter count.` Book is inscribed to Nancy.`` It has light creases on either side of the spine some wear to front lower edge, and very slight corner rubs. No writing or marks aside from the inscription. Appears to have been read once carefully or possibly not at all.
