London, Published: Thomas Clay [1825-1826]. First Series, Folio, Binding modern 3/4 Dark Red Morocco with original 19th century marbled boards (550 x 370mm ), light rubbing to boards. Gilt lettering on spine. Armorial engraved bookplate of "Newborough" inside front cover. Plate images 370 x 255mm, inclusive of margins 530 x 350mm.
Engraved allegorical title page with the dedication, an engraved list of subscribers with mezzotint vignette, and three lithographed leaves of subscribers. 18 finely hand colored aquatint views by J. Moore and F. Marryat. The plates are complete and numbered. Plate number 6 and 17 are mis-bound in reverse order. Title and dedication page lightly foxed, lithographed subscription pages are clean and bright. One plate has small missing chip from the outside margin edge, three inches from plate edge. No markings or inscriptions to any pages including the plates. The Plates are clean and vibrantly colored.
