He tells of the rich gold discoveries in those regions; the building of the Pacific Railroad; the vigilance committee; the act creating a temporary government in Wyoming; etc.

Yankton, Dakota Territory: Geo. W. Kingsbury, Public Printer, 1868. First edition. 8vo, [3], 14pp. Original printed, orange wrappers. Very good with a vertical crease throughout, light chipping and a few edge tears, and some soiling to wrappers. Clean and sound internally. Early Dakota imprint including sections on the school system, penitentiary and capitol buildings, railroads, the 14th Amendment, and others. Of particular interest is the material on the organization of Wyoming territory which was formed in 1868 from parts of Dakota, Idaho, and Utah territories via the passing of the Wyoming Organic Act by President Andrew Johnson.
