ELECTRIC CIRCUITS FOR TECHNOLOGISTS by Edward Jack L.; And Brumgnach - Hardcover - 1989 - from 100 POCKETS and

by Waintraub, Jack L.; And Brumgnach, Edward

Condition: Fine/No Jacket

St. Paul: West, 1989. A splendid, old-school text book that sticks so closely to basics that we recommend it for the undergraduate electrical engineering major who is looking for a career with GE or an electric utility, rather than with a semi-conductor manufacturer. Mind you this is an old-school but not an old-style textbook, it has all the two-color printing the eye can take; but it deals with electricity more than electronics, and presents enough math for one to pass a GRE, but not enough for one to write one. Refreshing! Substantial programming is involved. Though the publisher offers a PSPICE Circuit Analysis 5 1/4" floppy, it probably won't work in your machine (it doesn't in our older ones): just download MicroSim's current version from the Net. The chapter titles are: for Section I, Electricity and Electronics; Physical Basis of Electrical Concepts; Current and Voltage; Ohm's Law and Resistance; Resistive Circuits; DC Power (Energy) Sources. For Section II, Mesh and Nodal Analysis, and Equivilent Circuits in Circuit Analysis. For Section III, The Sinusoid and Other Time-Varying Functions; Capacitors and Inductors; AC Circuits; AC Circuit Models; and Resonance and Filter Circuits. For Section IV, Power (Single-Phase and Polyphase Systems); and Measurement and Instrumentation. 15 chapters, 612 pages, with half-tones, figures, schematics, 8 Appendices, Answers to Odd-Numbered Questions, and Index; plus Contents and Preface; there are Summar(ies), Review Questions, and Problems at the end of all chapters except the first one. Covers and text are clean and as new.. Illustrated Coated Boards. Fine/No Jacket. 9 1/2 x 7 5/8. Textbook.
