Art school ex-lib. copy with usual marks.. Black cloth/boards. White lettering. Orange dj with bw photos and white line drawing; black lettering; Mylar cover. [6] + 212 pp. with bw images throughout, numbered by chapter. Beginning with a survey of the history of the film camera and sound recording and their contribution to early television, Abramson traces the development of commercial and large-screen television in the US and England. He discusses the developments (new) in closec-circuit cameras and magnetic recording, how motion picture production changed from mechanical to electrical, and the difference between the mechanical motion picture camera and the electronic television camera. Old stuff but still very interesting.
