The scarce first edition of Kapp's work, which would undergo a series of reprints over the next two decades. The Australian-born Kapp won the Telford Medal a year prior to this book's publication. With a small article by Benjamin Rhodes entitled "Economical Size of Line Wire for Constant Current Circuits" pasted on at rear. A very good plus copy with a small institutional stamp to front free endpaper, else near fine. Multiple OCLC entries locate six copies of the first edition. . Very Good. 1886. First Edition.
