Frontis + 10 other b/w line illustrations as called for by Artist J.T Friedenson.A pocket edition of Gray's Elegy with charming line illustrations. First Edition Thus 1900. A previous owner has made content related notes to the preliminary blanks in ink including the wording of the suppressed verses of Gray Elegy 1750 Good- (Book- moderate shelf wear /soiling to cloth, a few foxing spots mainly to end papers. Previous owner name and date in ink to free front end paper. Two newspaper cuttings laid in at rear (which has browned the end papers) of Stoke Poges Church where he wrote the Elegy and was laid to rest in 1771.
