Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Full gilt-stamped red leather over boards, all edges gilt, silk moire end papers, color frontispiece, 319 pages, signed by Jack Womack on preliminary page. Includes an unused "Signed First Editions of Science Fiction" Easton Press bookplate. Small smudge at top right corner of front free end paper, a couple of scratches on text block edges. Synopsis
Elvissey (1993) is a Jack Womack science fiction novel, one of his Dryco series, set in a dystopian 2033 CE. The fictional universe is dominated by a Machiavellian multinational corporation and its plans for global domination of its world, and beset by runaway climate change, unstable weather patterns and rising sea levels, which threaten to eventually inundate old New York (although DryCo has constructed a "New" New York on higher ground).
