Owner's early ink signature on second front flyleaf: "Mabel Fuller/ July 1881" [possibly in the hand of author Mabel Fuller Blodgett, who was born Mabel Louise Fuller, in Bangor, Maine in 1869; her first book, 'The Aspen Shade: A Romance,' was published in 1889, followed by a number of children's books].
