John Creasey was born in Southfields, Surrey. After school he tried his hand at several jobs including warehouse clerk and vacuum cleaner salesman. At the age of seventeen he wrote his first novel. By the time he was twenty-one, he had written nine novels, all of them unpublished. His next book, Seven Times Seven, was the first to find a publisher. He wrote more than 500 books and used more than 20 pseudonyms. A few of his novels feature ‘Sexton Blake’, a detective modelled on Sherlock Holmes.. First Edition. Hardcover.
