Cambridge: University Press, 1911 Original maroon leather with embossed gilt lettering and crest on the front and embossed crest on the back. All edges gilt. No writing. Each volume of approximately 1000 pp. only one inch thick due to use of India paper, which makes for easy handling. Minimal damage, limited to short tears/leather loss at tops of spines, and rubbing to bottoms of spines from use (see photo). Minor foxing on free endpapers. The bottom right corner of the cover of Volume 18 has been bent, and the spine of Volume 22 is quite wrinkled. The Index volume, #29, has several page corners turned down. All volumes holding together very well, with the exception of Volume 25, in which pages 623-626 have been separated and reattached (badly) with once-clear tape. No broken hinges found. For the most part, these books were handled with loving care by their owners. These books are on consignment, so discounts do not apply.
