Enemy Coast Ahead is a book written by Wing Commander Guy Gibson V.C. , DSO, DFC. It is one of the most recognised books to have come out of World War II, and is the story of Gibson's wartime career in the Royal Air Force, which ends with him leading the famous bombing raid on the dams of the Ruhr Valley. Written by Gibson in 1944, it was published in 1946 after he had been killed in action.
