About This Item
Hodder & Stoughton, 1991. Very Good/Very Good. 240 x 165mm, 1052 pages. B/w photos, maps. Book Condition: Very good, clean black boards, tight binding - a big 'chunky' book! Jacket Condition: Very good, clean, bright, not faded, not creased, not price-clipped, minor rubbing to top & base of spine. Comments: An excellent comprehensive study of the Royal Navy's role in the Second World War. It suggests that Britain's supposed island seapower was actually a weakness in being dependent upon imported food, raw materials and American technology. He criticises the decision not to divert long-range aircraft from the indecisive bombing of German cities to the Atlantic battles. Interesting reading?. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
