Oxford: Oxford at the Claredon Press, 1964. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. 8vo. Oxford History of English Literature Series. [6], 247 p.p. Blue cloth boards with gilt lettering. Bowing to spine and bumping and rubbing to head, light rubbing to corners. Dust jacket is price clipped and has chips to spine ends, sunning to spine and edges, wear to edges. This volume consists of four independent essays, dealing respectively with "Medieval Drama," "The Carol and Fifteenth-Century Lyric," "Popular Narrative Poetry and the Ballad," and the late Arthurian romance of Sir Thomas Malory.
