Called one of the best of American travel books and one of the great and permanent works of its kind according to Van Wyeck Brooks. Publisher's original black-brown cloth, spine lettered in gilt and ruled in blind with blind decorative devices, cover bordered in blind. 312 pp. A good to very good copy with shelf wear and wear at tips. Prior owner name to second endpaper.
