Dustjacket is bright, few tiny specks/smudges, old price sticker on front cover & front flap, two tiny tears on top edge. Book might be better titled "The Pleasures of Architecture." It is a short and beautifully lucid social history of architecture. Architecture is about people. In building they have expressed and continue to reveal their character, their standards, their beliefs.
