Tightly bound and clean with no markings, slight spine lean, apparent printed signature and inscription to title page. Dustjacket unclipped bearing original price, slight corner and spine-end nicks, in new Brodart sleeve. A factualized novelization of the life of Eskiminzin, chief of the Aravaipa Apache, who sought peaceful coexistence with the white settlers and established a model community of trust and self-determination on the San Carlos reservation. Illustrated with period photographs from the Arizona Historical Society. Introduction by Morris K. Udall. Selected Bibliography appended.
