Very Good. 1931 first edition, only impression, very Limited Edition run of forty copies only. Signed by John Galsworthy. This is a 2 page poems written by John Galsworthy to H. E. Bates on the occasion of his wedding. In excellent, near fine condition, very slight darkening to the folded edge otherwise fine clean condition. Printed on 1 large sheet of paper that has been folded over twice, with title to front, the poem on the inner two leaves. On the rear side it reads "An Epithalamium in English is typically of the 17th century, with this defence the writer forestalls the detractors, who may submit that he has plagiarised his images. J. G." And is signed in ink by John Galsworthy underneath this statement. A very rare item. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall
