New York: Simon and Schuster, 1968. First edition. Paperback. 128pp. Octavo [23 cm] Illustrated wraps. Very good. The covers are mildly rubbed and creased. There is a small light stain on the spine, and there is a small dark stain on the rear wrap. In addition, the top edge of the text block is very subtly stained. Walt Kelly's career in animation began in 1936 at Walt Disney Studios, where he contributed to Pinocchio and Fantasia. In 1941, Kelly resigned at the age of 28 to work at Dell Comics, where he created Pogo.
