S., including West Point (p258), Philadelphia, New York, the Palisades, Lake George, Boston and more. The author was the French Minister to America, 1829-1831. 8vo, 400 pp, folding map of the United States to date & 96 full page steel engravings, text printed in two columns. Green gilt cloth with the original printed papered hardboards, rubbed at edges o/w a nice copy with mild scattered fox spotting. Sabin 73516, Howes R473.
