About This Item
Bernhardt Wall, 1922. Very good condition. Four etchings from a series of copper etchings for 'Windjammers', titled Winter Sailing; The Derelict; The Passing of the Sailing Man-O'-War; The Portogee Packet. "Etched books" are referred to in this way because every page, including the text, is made from an etched plate. Although Wall planned 325 copies, probably not more than 100 pulls were made from the plates.
With text below the illustration by Bernhardt Wall (1872-1956) American artist, etcher and producer of fine press books. Image size: 4 7/8 x 6 7/8". Paper size: 8 x 11". Two additional pages of the half title & foreward of the book.
