About This Item

Chanute, KS : Martin and Osa Johnson Safari Museum Press, 1978 Martin and Osa Johnson Safari Museum Press, Chanute, KS. 1978. Softcover/Trade Wraps. Stated 2nd Printing. Book is tight, square, and unmarked. Book Condition: Very Good; slight wear to head, tail, and tips; small closed tear on rear wrap; light rubbing to wraps. No DJ. Pictorial card stock wraps. Wraps are not bent or folded; spine is not creased or split; text is secure in binding. 133 pp 8vo. The primary aim of this brief narrative is not to provide a detailed biographical account of the Martin Johnsons but rather to produce a chronological key to their extensive peregrinations. At present an accurate chronological synthesis of their journeys is difficult as not only do dates provided in various accounts by other authors about the Johnsons' expeditions contradict one another, but the Johnsons' own accounts are equally contradictive sometimes placing them in two places at the same time. This book aims to clear up these in consistencies. A clean very presentable copy.
