Boston: Little, Brown, and Company, 1933. First American Edition. Hardcover. Good+. 19.5 x 13 cm. 290 pages. Octavo. Blue cloth with black lettering and design to cover. First American edition with same date on title and copyright page. Originally written in German and translated byt H. W. Farrell. Basis for multilanguage film released in 1932. The author Siodmak, is most known as the screen writer of The Wolf Man (1941) staring Bela Lugosi. Spine is faded to tan. A fragment of the dust jacket flap has been pasted inside the front cover. There is a piece cut out of the rear endpaper, 8.5 x 4 cm rectangle. Two small stamps by previous owner inside back cover. Small stain to front and back cover.
