About This Item
xxx+479 pages with frontispiece, facsimiles, illustrations, appendices and index. Royal octavo (9 1/2" x 6 1/4") bound in original publisher's blue cloth with gilt lettering to spine and cover. Revised edition. Matthew Bruccolli's revised text of his authoritative Fitzgerald bibliography manages on a number of levels to both correct and advance the first edition of 1972 and its supplement (1980). Without at all jeopardizing any of the initial complication's assets (facsimile title and copyright pages, illustrations of dust-jackets, and a clearly stated and closely adhered to application of such essential critical terms as "state" and "issue"), the 1987 version updates and enlarges upon the earlier two-volume set while at the same time taking the opportunity afforded to interpolate a number of alterations. Expansion of the contents and perfections of the citations aside, the present volume discards some few sections from both earlier books. Condition: A near fine copy.
