London: B. T. Batsford Ltd., 1945. 111pp, bw photos, drawings, col frontis. Or orange cloth with yellow title in jacket. Endpapers foxed, some light even toning throughout, slight fading at head and foot of spine. Jacket rubbed at folds and edges, 2 tears of approx 1", some tape reinforcement on verso. The author was sent to the Far East by the ministry of information to take photographs, and wherever he went he also made notes, of the places he visited, the sights he saw and the people he met. The result is this brilliant and authentic glimpse of India and China at war.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Good Plus. Illus. by Beaton, Cecil (photog). 8vo.
