Rochester, New York, nd. (ca.1900): Vredenburg & Co. Oblong Quarto. 100 leaves, all illustrations (138 images). This work which is the largest early photographic editon of Graham County and includes photographs of smelters, factories, copper mining, drug stores, railroad stations, landscapes, libraries, small businesses as well as school buildings. While more than half are devoted to mining, it has many pictures of locations in Graham County which have appeared nowhere else. Two smaller editions were done by newspaper publishes with 30 to 50 pages with mostly text. Here the printing was done by the Electric City Engraving Company of Buffalo which had pioneered Illustrated with half tones by Simon Werner. As is the case with the earliest Arizona Territorial Books, the printing processes for better illustrations were either done in San Francisco or in New York. The original plat map of the Sabino Otero Ranch known as Rancho de Otero and House lot located near Tubac, Pima Co. Arizona containing in all 185.70 acres ,confirmation recommended in favor of Sabino Otero, et. al. The map has been preserved in near fine condition, it measure 15" x 19 1/2" and is accompanied by the U.S. Secretary of the Interior Report, 47th Congress, Senate Executive Document, no. 81, January 30, 1882. Designated as "Rancho de Otero and House Lot." Sabino Otero (1846-1914) became known as the "Cattle King of Arizona" and the land upon which he first lived was originally obtained in a land grant to Torrevio de Otero, his great-grandfather in 1789 and confirmed by the Secretary of the Interior in this Plat map on January 30, 1882 (after the Plat map was completed on July 7, 1881). Lists Arroyo's address: Imprenta 2a. de la Penitenciaría Número 29. Felix was the nephew of Porfirio Díaz. When Porfirio Díaz was forced into exile by revolutionary forces in May 1911, most of his family went with him. Félix stayed in Mexico. In October 1912, he rose in an unsuccessful revolt against Madero, but was jailed and sentenced to death for treason.
