Hardcover bound in 3/4 brown leather with brown marbled paper-covered boards. The binding is worn but sound. The leather is starting to get dry but is still holding. There is a little splitting to the leather on the rear outer hinge near the foot of the spine. A sound copy with secure inner hinges. Untrimmed fore edge has some brown stains that stay on the edges of the margins. A couple of handwritten dates are written in pencil on the last page of text. Contains several illustrations, mostly portraits.

Contents include 20 chapters about missionary calling and life in Africa, primarily Angola and Mozambique. Obtained in Africa in the 1980's from a British missionary with same mission that published this book.
