A history of Eton College, told through the lives of some of its famous students. Illustrated throughout with numerous plates, some of which are coloured. Including chapters on De Quincey, Charles Simeon, Tennyson, Gladstone, and many others. Benson was an Etonian himself, from a literary family which included E.F Benson the creator of the Mapp and Lucia series. Arthur was a scholar and an historian of the collage, this large anthology represents an impressive history of some its notables.
