Very good, eps lightly toned. In a very good DJ with shallow edgewear to head and foot of spine. 1st trade edition in 2nd state DJ (rear panel has “Excerpts from the First Reviews…”). Petersen A20b. ++ THE TOWN. Random House, (1957). 8vo. Wine red cloth stamped in gray and gold, gray threaded endpapers. Top edge’s blue-gray stain faded. Slight wear to a limited area along lower portion of outer edge of pp305-342. Otherwise near fine. DJ has a little wear near spine ends and corners, . “$3.95” DJ price, “5/57” prtd at lower corner of front flap. 1st edition, 1st state: On p327, line 10 repeats line 8. Petersen A34a. ++ THE MANSION. Random House, (1959). 8vo. Blue cloth stamped in gilt and light blue, top edge stained yellow, blue endpapers. Near fine in near fine DJ with barely visible tiny tears around DJ’s spine ends. 1st trade edition in 1st state DJ (“$4.75” DJ price, “10/59” on front flap, photo of Faulkner by Ralph R. Thompson).
