Gift notes on copyright page. Captain John Fisher coined the motto, "Fear God and Dread Naught !" for HMS Dreadnought, the first battleship to carry all heavy cannon, in 1906. It was at least the eighth ship to have been so named. Fisher is credited by some for re-organizing the British Navy, which only increased his wide popularity. 377 pp. plus attached news clipping..
