About This Item
London: Ward, Lock & Co, 1936. Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. 8vo., 314(4)pp. Sharp, likely a second printing, bound in original red cloth with boarders and titles in on spine and front panel. Square, tight and clean throughout with a touch of wear to spine ends and bottom edges but quite minor. Off-setting to end papers and paste-down. Very well preserved. Beautiful clipped dust-jacket designed by Nina Miller Davidson. Some mild wear to spine ends and tips. A hint of rubbing. Still fresh and bright with no chipping, creases or tears. Quite scarce in any condition. Owing to "Death Ray" plot device it is also listed in Bleiler. A gorgeous collectable copy. (Hubin p.129).
