xiv+649 pages with figures and index. Royal octavo (9 1/4" x 6 1/4") bound in original publisher's quarter beige cloth with brown lettering to spine over black boards. First edition. This is the largest and most diverse collection of fugitive pieces of film writing ever published in English and very useful addition to film literature available in book form. the book's 600 pages are divided into three sections: :aesthetic, social commentary and analysis"; "theory and Technique"; and "history and personal." Condition: Corners bumped, soiled, spine scuffed, number on heal end pages, library pocket removed from back pastedown, no other library markings else about very good.
