Melville, Rear Admiral U.S. Navy, the survivor of Three Arctic Expeditions who Recovered the Records of the Jeannette Expedition, and also the Remains of De Long and his Companions. This hard cover book is in GOOD CONDITION. 448 Pages bound in aqua cloth with Gold gilt lettering on cover along with a stamped red design border, an American Flag and map of the Arctic. Spine has stamped lettering where the gilt has worn off and a picture of an eskimo. End papers are green with HINGES AND BINDING STRONG AND INTACT. Cover boards have some staining and slight bubbling. Enhanced with numerous photographs and a map. VERY INTERESTING READING, AND OVERALL A NICE COPY. NO LABELS, INSCRIPTIONS OR MARKINGS.
