FINE VICTORIAL COLLECTION OF MOUNTED SEAWEED SPECIMENS. by Anon - 1860

No date but almost certainly Victorian and probably dating to the mid 19th century. 51 fine seaweed specimens mounted on paper and pasted onto the rectos of 28 leafs, most with two specimens per page. Under each specimen (bar one) the species name is given in manuscript. There is evidence of one specimen missing, otherwise those present are particularly fine and generally in very good condition. Unfortunately the external binding is missing and there is no title page, but with two blank leafs at the front and the back. A very nice album with some particularly fine specimens.. First Edition. Unbound. Very Good/No Dust Jacket. Small 4to (18.5 x 22.5cm).
