Walker, Illustrator. limited to 225 copies [6.25x7.25"]; Pale green flaked cloth on covers with quarter calf backstrip, stamped light brown ink lettering on spine with three raised ribs, green ink illustration of settler family on front, top edge trimmed, all others untrimmed; xv, 44 pp., [2], frontispiece of image of Fourgeaud family; Minimal shelf wear, some rubbing and age stains to leather backing, front hinge cracked, darkening along hinges from binding, old paperclip rust stain on front end paper.[Kurutz 253]. From Kurutz, "Fourgeaud's newspaper article, reprinted here for the first time in book form, is important for including one of the earliest publiched accounts of the gold discovery.
