London: Cape, 1975. First Edition. Hard Cover. Dust Jacket. First UK Edition. The New Fiction Society ticket (but this does not mean that this is a bookclub edition) to the front paste-down and a couple of minuscule bumps to the corners otherwise a fine copy in a fine D/W with no tears, wear, rubbing or pieces missing in lovely collectable condition. The D/W is NOT price-clipped as so many copies seem to be. Scarce in collectable condition. The Authors first book (a collection of short stories) which was regarded by him as an opportunity to experiment and find his voice as a writer. Please add the words: Inscribed on the front free end-paper by the dust wrapper attist (Bill Botten) - "HOW GOOD TO SEE/ MY FAVOURITE/ ART WORK/ Bill Botten".
Synopsis
Ian McEwan has written two collections of stories, as well as many novels and screenplays. He won the 1998 Booker Prize for Amsterdam , and was shortlisted for the 2001 Booker Prize for Atonement .
