Inscribed by author to front pastedown and included is a letter written by the author to the previous owner of the book, Roger Butterfield; the inscription to the front pastedown is dated November 1947, and the letter is dated December 14, 1950. Beige buckram with printed cover label to front board and hand-written text to spine. Stated "Of this, the first and limited edition, there have been printed three hundred copies, this being number 257. Lacking title page as published; light soiling to boards (see image). Other than previous owner's label and author's inscription, there are no previous owners' names or other markings. There is however tape residue from a now lost jacket. 240 pp. 9 3/4 x 12 1/4 inches.
