Icelandic and Old Norse poetry translated into English by Thomas Percy, Bishop of Dromore, with the original Icelandic on pp. 85–99. Includes poetry by Egill Skallagrímsson (ca. 900–83), Eyvindr Finnsson Skáldaspillir (ca. 910–90), and Harold III Haroráoi, king of Norway (1015–66). Title-page has quotations in runic characters.
    Provenance: Signature of Isaac Reed dated 1790, to fly-leaf, with his note of Percy's authorship below and on title-page.

Library brown cloth, lightly worn at top of spine and corners; paper shelving label to spine, both covers pressure-stamped, bookplate and library charge pocket present with title-page and several other pages faintly rubber-stamped. Free endpapers and fly-leaf detached but present; a small piece of old paper adhered to title-page, obscuring one letter of the title. Age-toning, mild foxing, first two leaves stained; priced NOT according to interest and importance but to ex-library condition.
