Corners are lightly bumped with some shelf wear to spine ends. Spine is a little faded and the cloth across the outer join of the back cover is split. Binding is sound. Decorated end-papers and half-title are darkened. Frontis of 'Flamborough Church, with proposed new tower'. Pages are clean and crisp. Contains black and white illustrations including several maps and photographs, and one fold out family tree (Strickland of Flamborough and Beverley). No dust jacket, as published.
