Light bump to lower right corner, overall very good condition. Many interesting articles in this beautiful publication, plus elegant color and black and white advertisements. Articles include "Manhattan Night Life" with color illustrations, an article about Philip Morris & Co., "Autogiro: Rebirth", and "The Corporation" about U.S. Steel. Full page ads include red black and white Chesapeake and Ohio Lines ad with Chessie, and great color De Soto ad "Florida Highlights Sketched in and Around Miami by Floyd Davis" (p.37. Cover illustration depicting electrical towers by John O'Hara Cosgrave II. Founded by Henry Luce (who had, with partner Briton Hadden, founded Time magazine in 1923), Luce declared of Fortune magazine that "American business has importance - even majesty - so the magazine in which we are able to interpret it will look and feel important - even majestic." .
