Light soiling on cover and light wear to spine, interior very good. Many interesting articles in this beautiful publication, plus elegant color and black and white advertisements. Includes half page bird's eye view illustration of Ottawa by Richard Edes Harrison. Articles include "Canada at War", "American Steel Foundries" with color and black and white illustrations, "U.S. Defense: The Dollars", "America Is in Fashion" with color and black and white illustrations of fashions, and an article about Lever Brothers. Striking color cover of the White House by Petruccelli. Founded by Henry Luce (who had, with partner Briton Hadden, founded Time magazine in 1923), Luce declared of Fortune magazine that "American business has importance - even majesty - so the magazine in which we are able to interpret it will look and feel important - even majestic." .
