About This Item

New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1939., 1939. First edition. First edition. Presentation inscription by the author on the front fly leaf, "For George Markey in appreciation of some swell days at High Cedars. With all good wishes George Harmon Coxe 12/25/38." Morris Markey was a noted New York journalist and author of one mystery novel. Spine lightly darkened else near fine, square copy in dust jacket with light professional restoration to the spine ends. Veteran news photographer Kent Murdock and Jack Fenner head to Cliffwood to take some pictures of Ted Bernard, the radio comedian, and his guest, Irene Alexander, America's movie sweetheart.
