Documents the evolution of their collections of Samuel Johnson, Oscar Wilde, Japanese literature, etc. The first volume is one of 1000 printed and the second one of 1250. Designed by P.J. Conkwright and printed at the Thistle Press. The first volume contains essays from prominent bibliophiles such as Charles Ryskamp, Gabriel Austin, Shigeo Sorimachi, John F. Fleming, Robert F. Metzdorf, and others. There is also a bibliography of the Four Oaks library compiled by Herbert Cahoon, curator of manuscripts at the Morgan Library. Fine set, preserved in the original slipcase.
