About This Item
New York, NY The Dial Press, 1960. Hardcover First Edition (1960), unstated, in accordance with Dial's customary practice at the time of publication. First Edition (1960), unstated, in accordance with Dial's customary practice at the time of publication. Very Good+ to Near Fine in a Good+ DJ: The Book shows light shelving wear along the bottom edge of the cloth-covered boards and a very mild bump to the upper corner of the rear panel; else flawless; the binding is square and secure; the text is clean. Free of any ownership names, dates, addresses, notations, inscriptions, stamps, plates, or labels. A handsome copy, structurally sound and tighly bound, showing only a couple of very minor flaws. The DJ shows considerable rubbing and a bit of faint soiling to the white background field; some wear to the outiside edges, with a two-inch tear at the top edge of the front panel and a couple of tiny closed tears; the red titles at the backstrip have been sunned to pink, but remain legible; the price has been clipped; mylar-protected. Overall, remains clean, sturdy, and quite presentable in a moderately worn, but intact DJ. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 4to. (10.3 x 7.5 x 1 inches). 254 pages. Edited with an Introduction by Harold McCracken. Remington's observations and drawings of the time he spent in the West. Black and white except for the frontspiece. Language: English. Weight: 1 pound, 12 ounces. Hardcover with DJ.
