Gilt lettering remains bright and clear. Book has a slight forward lean.

The covers are quite firm and straight, a little marked on front, corners and spine ends bumped and frayed. Fairly clean end papers; tanned cut edges. The text block is in very good condition, straight and though firm, half title page shows slight break down middle. The pages are very slightly tanned around the edges; otherwise unmarked. With many illustrated figures. No inscriptions etc.
