Various: Variorum, 1793. A unique collection of FIVE contemporary pamphlets/works bound together, all relating to the French Revolution, an earthquake in European history. These works were all published in the early 1790s and include the following: 1) Goudemetz, H: Judgement and Execution of Louis XVI King of France with a list of the members of the National Convention who voted for and against his Death...no date (1790s) 99pp including title page and dedication leaf. No publisher. Goudemetz it says was a French clergyman, emigrant in England. Previous owner's signature on the title page. Title page a little dusty but overall very good. 2) (anon.) Idee des Horreurs commises a Paris dans les Journees execrables des 10 Aout, 2,3,4 et 5 Septembre 1792 ou Nouveau Martyrologe de la Revolution Francoise.....written by a French emigre, translated from the German published in Paris , Chez les marchands nouveautes, 1793. 40pp. Title page and last page a little dusty. 3) (M. Dechaumereix) Relation de M. Dechaumereix, Officier de la Marine: Echappe aux massacres d'Aurai et de Vannes suivie de Quelques Observations sur L'Esprit Public en Bretagne. Printed by T. Baylis, Londres, 1795; (2) + 49pp + (2 - a list of contemporary works relating to the French Revolution with bibliographical details and prices. 4) (no author) The Antigallican; or strictures on the Present Form of Government established in France - Printed for R. Faulder, London, 1793 100pp. half title a little dusty, the last page of text more so, in between the pages are bright and clean. 5) Young, Arthur : The Example of France; a warning to Britain - printed for W. Richardson, London, 1793 , 1st edition. (iv) + 122pp + 24pp (appendix). Half title dusty, the rest of the book bright and clean. The entire volume of FIVE works bound together at some point in the past and more recently rebound in half leather with marbled sides. Overall a very good copy of a scarce collection of pamphlets which were most likely to have been printed in small print runs and with many copies unlikely to have survived. . First Edition. Half Leather. Very Good. 8vo.
