Edge and corner wear with faint creasing on the spine; no interior markings. Cover art by Virgil Burnett. Much of Ms du Maurier's work was filmed. Probably the most famous was Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds. Frenchman's Creek was first filmed in 1944, directed by Mitchell Leisen and starring Joan Fontaine, Arturo de Cordova, Basil Rathbone, Nigel Bruce, and others. And then in 1998, it was re-done as a TV movie, directed by Ferdinand Fairfax and starring Richard Bonehill, Jeremy Child, Christian Cloarec, Anthony Delon, Time Dutton, Tara Fitzgerald and a host of others..
