Boston and New York: Houghton, Mifflin, and Company, 1902. Attractively bound copy from 1902 of this work by noted naturalist John Burroughs. Three quarter red morocco over marbled boards, slightly raised spine bands with gilt decorated compartments in a botanical design, top edge gilt, other edges uncut, marbled endpapers, black and white frontis plate, 284 pages. Edges lightly rubbed, spine a bit darkened, superficial crack to front joint, covers firmly attached, sound text block, very clean pages free from names or other markings.. Hard Cover. Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
