1898.. Chromolithograph, 10 x 18 inches on sheet 12 x 19 inches. 3/4 inch archivally mended edge tear in lower margin, two small spots at lower paper edge, crease to lower left corner all well outside image. A chromolithograph of the highest quality, capturing the subtle coloration of the fish portrayed, produced for William Harris' publication "The Fishes Of North America" which was published in 1898 (Bennett, American Nineteenth Century Color Plate Books p.51). Harris had his artist, J.L. Petrie, paint from recently caught fish. .
