An early edition of this pamphlet, first published in 1726. His advice to his children includes the admonition to "be careful to keep the Unity of the Faith in the Bond of Peace. Have a Care of Reflectors, Detractors, Backbiters that undervalue and undermine Brethren behind their Backs." Mary Hinde, the printer, was proprietor of a major Quaker publishing house in London.
